ANNOUNCER: FROM OMAHA’S WEATHER LEADER, METEOROLOGIST MATT SERWE WITH YOUR ACCURATE FOR NEXT — FORECAST. MATT: HERE IS THE HUSKERS FORECAST STARTING WITH TEMPERATURES AROUND 50. PARTLY CLOUDY. BREEZY TO START. WINDS MY PICK UP LATE IN THE GAME AS THE COLD FRONT COMES IN. TEMPERATURES WILL STILL BE IN THE MID AND UPPER 50’S MOST OF THE GAME. DECENT WEATHER. WE HAVE A COUPLE OF PEAKS OF BLUE SKY. LOTS OF CLOUDS OVER THE METRO. 39 AT THE AIRPORT. SOUTH WINDS MAKING IT FEEL LIKE THE LOW 30’S. 43 BLAIR, EDDINGTON, MILLARD. 41 FREMONT. 41 IN COUNCIL BLUFFS. 45 PLATTSMOUTH YOUR TEMPERATURES ARE WARMER, MID AND UPPER 40’S. PLATTSMOUTH NEBRASKA CITY, BEATRICE, FALLS CITY AND MARYVILLE. SOUTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO BRING IN WARMER AIR. THE MORE SUN WE SEE, THE QUICKER WE WARM UP. TO THE NORTHWEST, TEMPERATURES IN THE 30’S SHOULD BOUNCE BACK INTO THE 40’S. SOUTH WINDS, 10 TO 20 MILES AN HOUR. WIND CHILLS IN THE 20’S AND 30’S ALONG AND NORTH OF I-80. THERE ARE THE HIGH THIN CLOUDS. TO OUR WEST, A COUPLE OF SPRINKLES. THE AREAS DRY ACROSS NORTHEAST NEBRASKA. THERE IS A WARM FRONT COMING THROUGH — THE AIR IS DRY. WE HAVE A SWEET SPOT WHERE WE COULD GET TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 50’S AND LOW 60’S EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. WE HAVE CLOUDS INCREASING RIGHT NOW WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 40’S. A LITTLE MID-DAY SUN AND HIGHS IN THE UPPER 50’S AND LOW 60’S. WAR CLOUDS WITH A COLD FRONT AND ISOLATED RAIN SHOWERS POSSIBLE AND THOSE WINDS TURN AROUND TO THE NORTHWEST AND TEMPERATURES WILL FALL. EARLY THIS AFTERNOON, WE HAVE A SHOT AT 60 FROM OMAHA TO THE SOUTH. THEN THOSE WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS WILL COOL DOWN THROUGH THE SECOND HALF OF THE EVENING. THERE IS THAT WEDGE OF WARMTH WHERE WE COULD SEE TEMPERATURES UP TO 60. BEHIND THE FRONT, ISOLATED RAIN SHOWERS POSSIBLE. NORTHWEST WINDS CONTINUE TO WOULD THEY WILL CLEAR THE CLOUDS TONIGHT AND SUNDAY BUT THAT MEANS IT WILL BE COOLER TOMORROW. A TRIP DOWN TO THE TROPICS SOUTH OF JAMAICA, WE HAVE TROPICAL STORM IONA. IT IS NOT LOOK LIKE TOO MUCH RIGHT NOW — IOTA. IT WAS PRINTED INTO A HURRICANE BY THE WEEKEND AND IF THIS LOOKS FAMILIAR, IT IS SIMILAR TO WHAT ETA DID AS FAR AS MAKING LANDFALL NEAR NICARAGUA AND HONDURAS AS A MAJOR HURRICANE. THEY ARE ALREADY TRYING TO RECOVER AND THERE IS ANOTHER HURRICANE POSSIBLE DOWN THERE AT THE NEVER-ENDING TOPIC SEASON OF 2020. 60 TODAY. 50 TOMORROW. 60 ON MONDAY. THE MAJORITY OF THE FORECAST IS DRY WITH TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE AVERAGE.
