Police say an attempted theft at a Halloween store turned violent when one suspect allegedly attempted to run over store employees in a car and the other allegedly pulled a knife on them.
Police were called to Spirit Halloween Store, 1319 George Dieter Drive, on Oct. 29 in response to the theft turned aggravated robbery. Erica Gracia, 31, allegedly committed a theft at the store and attempted to run over two employees trying to stop her.
The employees then attempted to detain Kai Alexander Miyauchi-Malichi, who was with Gracia, in the parking lot. Miyauchi-Malichi, 40, then allegedly pulled a knife and lunged at the employees as they followed him on foot.

Gracia and Miyauchi-Malichi were both found a short time later, arrested and taken to the El Paso Downtown Jail. Gracia was charged with aggravated robbery and set with a $25,000 bond. Miyauchi-Malachi was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with a $20,000 bond for each count.
