Gadsden Christmas Parade cancelled this year due to COVID-19


The decision has been made to cancel the Gadsden Christmas Parade.According to a news release, city leaders, Kiwanis Club of Gadsden and other community organizations made the decision after “it quickly became apparent that there was not a safe path to holding the popular annual event during a global pandemic.”The safety of all involved is the primary concern and the sole cause of the cancellation of the parade, and the concern of COVID-19 would not allow large crowds in close proximity.Organizers look forward to continuing the tradition in 2021.
