6 more in CNMI test positive for COVID-19

Six more people have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

The CNMI total is 86 cases since March 28, 2020.

The individuals were identified by travel screening and confirmed diagnosis through testing on arrival, according to the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation in a news release.

The individuals are in quarantine and were moved to the designated isolation area for close monitoring.

The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation has already initiated contact tracing for the most immediate contacts of the new confirmed cases, including passengers on the same flight, the release stated.
